Barielle A Bouquet For Ava
Hi all,
Today I have another Barielle for you. I think they have some really nice colors and this one fits in that category perfectly.
Barielle A Bouquet For Ava, two coats in daylight. Please imagine this more green - the green in the polish was a bit camerashy. A Bouquet For Ava is a gorgeous teal creme that leans mostly to the blue side, but the green is definately visible.
Application on this one was good. The other Barielles that I tried were a bit thick, but this one had a nice formula and dried pretty quickly.
What do you think of A Bouquet For Ava? If you have some Barielle(s) yourself, which one is your fave?
The product in this post was sent to me by the manufacturer or their PR company for consideration. For more information, please read my disclaimer.

Stampabilities # 004: Random OPI Pt 1
Hi all,
Two days late, but here are this weeks Stampabilities!
I just grabbed a couple of OPI's of my helmer, and they all turned out to be pretty good for stamping. Damone Roberts 1968 is the lightest color, but still shows up very clearly!
And to make it complete; on the nails!
Left to right; Mediterranean Moonlight, Funky Dunkey, Damone Roberts 1968, Suzi Says Feng Shui. Except for DR 1968, they're pretty obvious, but they're all stampable. The base is H&M Love At First Sight and I use imageplate M60 for the stamping as usual.
Hope this helps!
If you have suggestions for the upcoming editions of Stampabilities, please let me know! You can leave a comment on this post, but you can also send me an email.

Hard Candy Rumor Mill
Hi all,
How are you doing? What did you do this weekend? I'm doing a little bit better again, so I'm trying to pick everything up again. I *think* (and hope) that I got back to everyone that sent me an email and I will work on answering comments tomorrow. I've had a couple of questions about the entries for the Harry Potter nailart contest. I will be uploading those today or else tomorrow so the voting can begin.
I have a huge pile of polishes that are waiting to be tried so I'll try to post those as soon as I can, as well as some nailart I did a week or two ago. Are there things that you would like to see on my blog in the next couple of weeks? I'm thinking of a cuticle rescue plan post as well, since I really neglected my cuticles the past 1,5 weeks and I'm trying to get them into shape again. Would you like to see that? Anyway, let me know!
Hard Candy Rumor Mill, two coats in daylight. Rumor Mill is a very dark, almost black deep plum jellylike creme. I'm having difficulty putting this in one category. It's looks like a jelly, but the polish is on the thick side. It also caused me a ton of cuticle drag, so I'm not sure of what I should think of the formula.
I like the color; it's a tad lighter irl so it's not as black as you see in my pics, but it was hard to photograph since the polish is rediculously shiny (no shiny topcoat needed here!) so I couldn't capture the plummy color ánd avoid picturing myself in the reflection lol.
Application on Splendid was ok, but I don't like the application on this one. I'm hoping that this was just one miss and that the last polish I have is of better quality formulawise. I will try some thinner next time to see if it gets better, which I hope, but for now, I'm not a fan of this polish - only because of the formula.

Impression Beauty Salon Dimension 2010
Hi all,
How was your weekend? I hope it was good. I got out of the house again and this time I went to pick up Michèle from lacquerized to go to the Beauty Salon Dimension Fair that is being held at the Jaarbeurs Utrecht. In this post I put a TON of pictures to give you an idea of the fair. I can't post about every stand we've seen since it would just be too much. Warning: VERY VERY pic heavy!
Hmm... Bottle pics! OPI had a wonderful big stand that displayed all of their products, so of course all their polishes were there. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to buy any polishes since we're not professionals, but it was nice to drool all over the bottles and pretty colors.
The other side of the OPI polish display. There were SO many bottles, it was awesome.
The latest collection in The Netherlands; OPI Swiss. The Netherlands are a bit behind on collections so no Burlesques yet.
Their core of DS polishes. The two next polishes were there as well and I've added Magic to my wishlist (although it looked a lot like Michèle's mani - Lunar Eclipse).
Swatches of the Go Goth mini's. I love love love Sanguine. It looks a bit flat tho on this swatch, but I still want it.
The stand of Magnetics. Now, this was a brand I hadn't heard of before. They had quite a big stand with a ton of stuff for acrylics, but they also had a wide arrange of nail art products and polishes as you can see. I picked up three polishes - Will show you at the end of this post :)
The China Glaze stand. They had a lot of older polishes (polishes from older collections) so I managed to snatch up three of these babies as well. Again - Will show at the end of this post.
Swatches of the China Glaze Vintage Vixens. They had them all and they had a cute pack of four mini's as well. Too bad that the only two polishes I have, were part of the pack of mini's. Otherwise I would have picked them up. I love how China Glaze calls them mini's, but they're still bigger than the fullsize bottles of some brands.
Another brand I've never heard from before: Hollywood Nails. They had a complete 'wall' with polishes and they had a lot of colors. I only picked up one (which cost only € 0,99!) and it is an amazing duochrome/multichrome in the bottle, so I'm really curious to see how this looks on the nails. Michèle found a near-dupe of Chanel Paradoxal, so be sure to check her comparison pic out!
The new Trind winter colors. I'm so sorry about the crappy lighting, but there were big ass lamps on some places and small spots on others. Flash washed most of the colors out on my pics.. Anyway, Trind has some pretty colors out for winter. They release four new colors every winter and every summer so I'm gonna keep an eye open for those!
The Nfu Oh stand had a wall filled with tons of polishes. Look at all those Nfu Oh's! I've never seen so many together in my life. It was sooooo awesome to look at them! Well, I really love bottle pr0n ;) (Have you noticed with all these bottle pics?) I added Nfu Oh 055 to my wishlist since I was asking myself why the hell I didn't own that polish already.
We also went to the CND stand and we talked to a very nice lady that told us about an upcoming gorgeous navy polsih.. Can't wait!! We went to look at the Effects - they were awesome. I need more!
Well.. I told you I would show you what I picked up, so here goes.
A present for myself! I got my Spanish homework back on saturday and I got a 9 (nine!)! That's the second 9 I got for my homework so to give myself a little present, I bought this. Can you guess what it is?
Yes! That's the latest CND set with Urban Oasis and Teal Sparkle. Can't wait to try those. But anyway, that's my little present for my good grades. I also picked up three Magnetics: Glamour brown (a brown foilie polish with tons of duochrome shimmer), Shimmering Titanium (charcoal holo) and Powerful Purple (purple holo). Wheeee, holo! I wasn't really a holographic polish kinda person, but I'm kinda digging them atm. At the China Glaze stand I picked up 2Nite, IDK and LOL. I couldn't find LOL for a reasonable price on internet, so I'm really happy that I just walked into it today.
Michèle and I had a great day just looking at all the pretties. We finished it off by eating icecream so I feel tons better (not only because of the icecream, duh). Thanks Michèle for today!
PS: I'm going to try to pick everything up today and tomorrow. I will try to answer my emails first, but it's a lot so it may take a day or two. Thank you so much for your comments and emails, you're really the best readers I could wish for.

RBL Orbis Non Sufficit
Hi all,
Not much news from my side, went out of the house yesterday evening and it helped me a little to be starting putting things together. I hope I can get my head organized in the next couple of days, so I'm still asking you for your patience. How are you all doing?
Today I have one of the polishes for you that I got at the 50% off sale at Rescue Beauty Lounge last year and it's called Orbis Non Sufficit, which means The world is not enough. Orbis Non Sufficit is part of the limited edition Blogger collection for fall 2009 and I was lucky enough to grab myself a bottle.
RBL Orbis Non Sufficit, two coats in daylight. Orbis Non Sufficit is a gorgeous dusty green creme. You know I like dusty colors, and I love this particular one. It looks so deep and mossy..
The formula on this one was pretty good, a little on the thick side maybe, but the polish is very pigmented so that makes up for a bit of it. I had no problems applying this baby.
Drying time was good. I didn't use a quickdry topcoat so it dries pretty quickly on its own. It's also shiny as hell, so that was a bit of a problem while snapping pics since you could see the entire place I was at to take pictures. Not exactly my intention! But all worked out so no biggy.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend and I hope you'll enjoy your sunday :)

Sweet Marble
Hi all,
A presceduled post for today since I won't be having time to upload anything today or tomorrow. It's another marble that I did a while back and I thought it turned out pretty nicely.
Watermarble done with Orly Lemonade as a base and Lemonade and Pixy Stix used as marble colors. They are so cute and happy together. The Orly Sweets are amazing for marbling, since they're very pigmented.
I think my index turned out less than the other fingers, but even that one looks alright to me. This might be the first marble I'm really pleased with :)
And just because my fingers looked superduperawesome after marbling, I added a pic pre cleanup.
Awesome right? I used the vaseline method this time instead of the tape method, and I found it to be easy to work with: if you apply the vaseline right, you won't have that much of a hassle to take the polish of your fingers.

Or Maybe Tomorrow?
Hi all,
Things aren't improving at all and I'm feeling less and less like myself. I feel physically weak on top of it all and I can't handle everything around me at the moment. I feel like I'm about to collapse or something. Somewhere deep within I'm glad that I edited these pictures beforehand so I can put in some nailrelated things in this post besides me complaining about my life. I'm so sorry.
The pictures I have for you today are *again* from a recent NOTD. I have a ton of nailart and swatches somewhere in my folders but I can't put myself to edit them so they'll have to wait.
CND Jade Sparkle over OPI Damone Roberts 1968. I posted about Damone Roberts 1968 and Jade Sparkle, but I didn't put them together till recently. I really like the effect, it gives a little something extra.
Most of the time I see tons of golden glass flecks giving it almost a golden flash or cast, but those show up better in the next two pictures.
Hopefully you are doing better than I am at the moment. Thanks for stopping by :)

Tomorrow Will Be Better.. Right?!
Hi all,
Another quickie. I know I suck, I have tons to do for the blog and I haven't been around on Twitter either. I need to reply to my emails and comments. I suck. I'm having a bad week and it's not getting better, so hopefully things will turn around tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll probably have to stay in bed all day.
Today is another recent NOTD. I pimped Strawberry Fields with one of my newest plates after wearing this baby for four or five days (so excuse any sign of wear you may notice).
China Glaze Strawberry Fields stamped with China Glaze Awaken and imageplate M71. I love the lacey design! It looks so cute.. I can see a whole lot of konadicures with this one in the future.
Little closeup as bonus
Do you SEE those golden glass flecks? (this one is left bigger so you can click it)
Anyway, I hope you will forgive me for not being as active as I should/would like to. I want you to know that I really love the fact that you all come here to read my little blog and leave comments or send me an email. It means the world to me. But for now, the world is a little too heavy on my shoulders. I'm sorry about that.

Short Post That Contains Flakies
Hi all,
A quick recent NOTD post today since I had a sucky day (when you read this, I'm talking about yesterday). It was one of those days that I wish I'd stayed in bed. Ugh. I hope today will be better, but I will be going from appointment to appointment all day and have to study in between *stress*. Anyway, I posted about OPI Merry Midnight before, so I will leave the review part out.
OPI Merry Midnight, two coats over one coat of OPI Funky Dunkey. I finished it off with a coat of David, because I was planning on wearing this as a mani. It lasted for a week, but it was badly chipped after two days laying in bed because I didn't feel good and two days cleaning and tidying around the house.
Bonus pics because I love this polish so much..
I wasn't able to capture the depth of this polish in my first post, but I think I captured it alright this time.
Question: When you look back at old swatches/pictures of your nails.. Don't you just hate their shape? Ugh, I know I do.

She Went All The Way Around The World..
Hi all!
All the way back in may, I placed a large order for OPI Damone Roberts 1968 on the website of Damone Roberts. A couple of days later, I got a shipment confirmation and the pretties were on their way. Although it's a long way from the US to The Netherlands, I was getting a little worried when the pretties didn't arrive in the beginning of june. I contacted Damone Roberts and was told that they would look into it to see where my package went.
A couple of days later, I got an email from the manager from Damone, who basically told me the package was delivered in Singapore! Oh my.. That's not even the same continent! He tried to track the person down that had gotten my package, but after a week or two I got bad news. He told me I would get a refund, that would be processed in the next couple of days since the person couldn't be traced (if I understand his email correctly). I was really disappointed, because a couple of days after my package was shipped, Damone announced that the OPI Damone Roberts 1968 polishes were sold out. Boo!!
Thankfully, after a while I got an email that the person was tracked down in Singapore, and that she agreed to ship the package back to Damone. Whoooooohoooo! It would take another two weeks at least to arrive here, but damn, they would come!! However, when I checked in after two weeks with the manager, he told me the package hadn't been shipped back yet.. I was getting nervous again, since it was mid july now. He would let me know if anything changed.
I believe it was only two days before my holiday that I got confirmation that the polishes were shipped back to the US. After my holiday to Spain, I got confirmation that they had received the package and that they would send them to me as soon as I replied to the email. So, now, after 4 months of waiting, I received the package two weeks ago. FINALLY!! Thanks to the manager from Damone Roberts, who didn't give up and made sure I would get my package; thank you! (also thanks from the ladies that got their pretties out of this package)
So anyway... I got Damone Roberts 1968 in and it looked pretty, but also a bit like an ordinary mint colored polish. I tried her on.
Damone Roberts 1968, three coats in daylight. Damone Roberts 1968 is a very pretty mint green creme that suits my skin tone pretty well! I was a bit scared, since mint greens tend to give me lobster claws.. But this one became my favorite mint green instantly.
Application was good. The polish went on smoothly with the wide OPI brush and it was a bit streaky at the first coat, but it all evened out nicely.
So.. Was it worth all the waiting and the time spent to track this baby down? For me personally, yes. If I knew beforehand that it would take so long to get these, I probably would have passed (who wouldn't?), but now that I got my bottle and see how it works with my skintone.. I really like it.
What's your thought on this color? If it worth the hype?

Stampabilities # 003: Hard Candy
Hi all!
We're already at the third week with Stampabilities! Wow, time does fly by.. Anyway, here are this weeks polishes, featuring Hard Candy.
Hard Candy Splendid, Rumor Mill, Date Knight. As usual, these were stamped with imageplate M60 on a white piece of paper.
Splendid and Rumor Mill show up very good, but Date Knight doesn't. It's a pink glitter in a clear base (and I have to admit that I thought it would have a little pink pigment to it). I wouldn't recommend stamping with the latter, but the first two should be fine!
I will upload the stamping on the nails asap, sorry for the delay!
Do you have requests for stamping with certain polishes? If so, please let me know so I can see what I can do for you!
The products in this post were sent to me by the manufacturer or their PR company for consideration. For more information, please read my disclaimer.

Zoya Kalista
Hi all!
In the last couple of months, I really reached out to the vampy part of my stash. Somehow those colors were more appealing to me than the summery bright colors, while now it's getting to fall, I feel drawn to pastels hehe. Anyway, I pulled out this pretty baby and put her on and I have to say; I love her!
Zoya Kalista, two coats in daylight. Kalista is a gorgeous brown with lighter brown and bronze shimmer, which gives the polish amazing depth. It reminds me of mahogany wood, somehow.
Application was great. The polish went on smoothly and I didn't have any issues with drying time either. Some of my other Zoya's won't dry with a quickdry topcoat, but this pretty one dried quickly :)
I really love these kind of vampy colors. I'm excited to try more of them so I think I will show you a lot of these in the future :D
