Something Really Old..

Hi all!

Vandaag heb ik iets voor jullie dat al ontzettend oud is; een van mijn nagellakken die ik vaak gebruikte voordat ik bijvoorbeeld het Fok! forum of Makeupalley had ontdekt! Dit was mijn favoriet toentertijd en ik dacht dat het wel leuk zou zijn om deze uit mijn Helmer op te diepen :).

Today I have something that is really old (at least, to me and my stash!); one of my favorite polishes that I used very often, before I discovered the Fok! forum or MUA! This was my favorite then and I thought it might be fun to share it with you and dig it out of my Helmer :).



Miss Sporty 112, drie laagjes. De bovenste foto is genomen zonder direct zonlicht, de tweede is genomen met zonlicht. 112 is een donkere nude shimmer met foily finish. Nude is niet echt mijn ding nu, maar doordat deze lak shimmer bevat en een foily finish heeft, was ze toch interessant. Het flesje is bijna leeg zoals je kunt zien haha. Ik heb hier ontzettend vaak mee gelakt en toen ik laatst keek of ze nog een flesje hadden, zag ik dat ze inmiddels andere kleuren hebben, met dezelfde nummers als hier in mijn Helmer staan. Jammer! Applicatie is ok, maar droogtijd is niet zo best in vergelijking met OPI en China Glaze. De lak droogt langzaam. Maargoed, het was wel weer even een uitstapje..

Miss Sporty 112 (old version), three coats. The first picture is taken without direct sunlight, the second picture is taken in sunlight. 112 is a slightly darker nude shimmer with a foily finish. I don't really like nude, but I loved this one before I discovered the whole world of nail polish. The bottle is almost empty as you can see! I used it so much.. I went to the store to see if they had this, but they have new colors under existing numbers. Pity! Application is ok, but drying time is bad in comparison with OPI and China Glaze. The polish dries sloooooow. Anyway, it was fun to go down Memory Lane..


Just spicing it up with a coat of Essie Matte About You. It gives a satin finish and I like this better than shiny.. At least, for now. Maybe it's because I've had this polish since like forever.

The Gorgeous Nfu Oh 051

Nét voordat 2010 begon, kreeg ik de bestelde Nfu Oh lakken binnen die ik voor vier andere dames en mezelf heb besteld op www.fabuloustreet.com, binnen. Nfu Oh 51 was weer beschikbaar!

Just before 2010 started, I got the Nfu Oh polishes I ordered for four lovely ladies and myself. I ordered them at www.fabuloustreet.com because Nfu Oh 051 was in stock again!

Omdat ik 051 alleen een beetje zielig en alleen vond, heb ik wat gezelschap meebesteld zodat ze zich niet eenzaam hoeft te voelen.

Because I didn't want her to be lonely, I ordered her some company so she won't feel lonely.

Vandaag heb ik voor het eerst de lovely 51 opgedaan en ze is nog mooier dan ik verwacht had!! De foto's die online te zien zijn van haar doen haar kleur en flakies geen eer aan. De mijne overigens ook niet; ik kan het niet op beeld vastleggen hoe mooi ze is. Een donkerpaarse basis met daarin rode flakies, maar ze verandert ook van kleur naar groen, oranje en geel in het licht. Echt ge-wel-dig!

De foto's die ik nu post zijn deels pre-cleanup omdat ik graag foto's wilde maken van Nfu Oh 51 in daglicht en daarvoor moest ik een beetje opschieten. Morgen zal ik proberen mooiere foto's te maken, maar ik kon niet wachten om deze te posten.

Today I wore the lovely 51 for the first time and she is even prettier than I expected her to be! The pictures online just don't do her beauty justice. My pictures can't capture how pretty she is either. A dark purple base with red goldisch flakies, but she also shifts to other colors like green, orange and yellow in different lighting. It's amazing!

The pictures I'm posting right now are partly pre-cleanup because I wanted to take pictues in daylight, so I had to hurry a little bit. Tomorrow I will post better pictures of her because she deserves that, but I couldn't wait to post this.




Dit is één laagje Miss Sporty 313, donkerpaars met een lichtere paarse shimmer, en één laagje Nfu Oh 051. Nogmaals, mijn foto's laten niet zien hoe mooi ze in werkelijkheid is, maar het geeft je een impressie.

This is one coat of Miss Sporty 313, a dark blurple with a lighter purple shimmer, and one coat of Nfu Oh 51. Again, my pictures don't capture the beauty of this polish.

I really love this polish! It dries a bit slow, but the colors and flakies make up for that. The colors shift in different lighting and it makes my nails really fascinating to look at. I can't stop staring at my nails..
