OPI Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow Suede

Not too long ago, pictures appeared of a new OPI Suede. It was green! You can't imagine how thrilled I was with this one.. A green suede. The Suedes are among my favorite polishes ever, because they're pretty, quickdry and opaque in one or two coats. I got my bottle in a week ago. Let's take a look at some pictures!

OPI Here Today, Aragon Suede, two coats in daylight. HTAT Suede is a medium green with very fine shimmer. The finish is different from the other suedes; this one has a more dusty feel to it and the shimmer is really small. It's pretty though! Let's take a close look at the finish:

Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow Suede is a lot lighter than the original Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow, but I don't mind. I think it's a gorgeous shade of green.

Of course, it had to be made shiny.. So I put some topcoat on it.

OPI Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow Suede with topcoat. Shiny! It brings a little more depth to the polish and makes it less dusty, but it holds on to the feel it has in the suede look.

Application was good. The polish is easily opaque in two coats and since it's a Suede, it dries very quick.

Zoya Loredana; Swatches & Comparison

Hi all!

So, today I have quite a lengthy post for you. I decided to do a matte mani and while I was at it, I did a 'complete' post; Swatching both matte and shiny plus a comparison. Lots to cover, so on to the pics!

Zoya Loredana, two coats in natural light. Loredana is a medium grey, charcoal colored polish. This one isn't shiny, a true matte! I love how this looks. Because she is so pretty, another picture:

Application on Loredana was super easy. The polish structure was just right; not too thick or too thin. A couple of my mattes/suedes tend to be a bit gloopy, but this one certainly wasn't. I didn't have problems whatsoever and since the polish dried so quickly, it's an A+ polish for me!

There isn't any matte that I wouldn't try to make shiny, so Loredana is no exception:

Zoya Loredana, two coats with one coat of Seche Vite in natural light. Pretty huh? She really shows her shimmer when you make her shiny. It looks so pretty! I can't decide if I like her better matte or shiny.. What do you think?

Judging on the color, I thought she might be close to OPI Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees Suede, so I grabbed my bottle and did a comparison.

Index and ring are Zoya Loredana, middle and pinkie are OPI Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees Suede.

Loredana is two coats, while SSITP is three coats. Opacity is better with Loredana. On the nail they are closer colorwise, but my camera shows a huge difference. These are no dupes, but similar. SSITP is a darker grey with more shimmer than Loredana. Loredana looks a bit flat besides SSITP because she is a true matte.

A shiny comparison:

Again, Zoya Loredana on index and ring, SSITP on middle and pinkie. Both are topped with a coat of Seche Vite. You can clearly see now that SSITP looks deeper because she holds more shimmer.

I really like both of these! It depends on my mood which one I will wear, but I know for a fact that both will be a part of my go-to polishes when I'm in a hurry. If you can't decide which one you like best of these two, I'd say the Zoya is 'better', but only because she is opaque in two coats, while OPI needed three to be opaque.

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Suede

Hi all!

Today it's a quick post again.. I have a lengthy one with tons of pictures planned for tomorrow :) I wore this polish as a NOTD and these pictures were taken after three days of wear.


OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Suede, two coats with one coat of Nubar Diamont. I love all of the suedes and they really are my go to polishes when I'm in a hurry or don't feel like applying 3 coats of polish and waiting in between. I'd say OPI LPAD is a gorgeous matte purple shimmer, but I believe this shade is called eggplant rather than purple. The shimmer in the suedes is so pretty and this one is no exception. I hear a lot of complaints about the wear of the suedes, but I'm not experiencing any problems *knocks on wood*. I mostly wear the suedes with topcoat, because I like my polish to be shiny :) I will post pictures of the matte mani somewhere in the future as well!

Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees Suede

Hi all!

Het weekend is alweer bijna voorbij! Nog maar een paar uurtjes.. Hebben jullie nog leuke dingen gedaan? Ik was gisteren op een verjaardag en het 1jarige neefje van mijn vriend probeerde mijn nagellak er een kwartier lang af te krabben toen hij bij me op schoot zat hihi! Ik heb OPI You Don't Know Jacques Suede met een laagje Diamont op, en blijkbaar is dat eigenlijk een beetje te opvallend ;). Het was wel ontzettend lief!

The weekend is almost over! Just a couple of hours left.. What did you do? I was on a birthday yesterday and the one year old nephew of my boyfriend tried to scratch off my nailpolish with his teenie tiny nails for about 15 minutes when he sat on my lap lol! I'm wearing OPI You Don't Know Jacques Suede with a coat of Diamont and I think it was a little too obvious that I was wearing polish ;). It was very cute though!


OPI Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees Suede, twee laagjes in indirect zonlicht. Suzi is een prachtige donkergrijze of gungrey shimmer. Net als de overige suedes is de shimmer geweldig! De applicatie en droogtijd zijn zoals bij de andere lakken goed. Ik ben dol op gungreys en dit is geen uitzondering. Ze is geen dupe van Orly Iron Butterfly. Deze is donkerder en neigt meer naar zwart.

OPI Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees Suede, two coats in indirect sunlight. Suzi is a gorgeous dark or gungrey shimmer. Like the other suedes, the shimmer is incredible! Application and drying time are, just as with the other suede polishes, good. I love gungreys and this is no exeption. She is not a dupe of Iron Butterfly, which is a bit darker and leans more to black.

Today a short post with my NOTD: You Don't Know Jacques Suede.



Dit is drie laagjes, binnen zonder flash. De shimmer in de lak is erg mooi, het lijkt alsof de lak van binnen verlicht wordt..

This is three coats, inside without flash. The shimmer in the polish is very pretty, it looks like it's lit from within. I like this very much! Drying time is fast because of the suede effect of the polish.

Vandaag een korte pauze in de Ciaté swatches, want ik wil graag de lakken laten zien die ik vandaag heb ontvangen!

A short interruption of the Ciaté swatching, because I want to show you the polishes I ordered a little while ago! They came in last week.




Eindelijk heb ik ook Essie Matte About You in huis! In het begin was ik niet zo into matte nagellak, maar onder andere door MUA begon ik dit steeds mooier te vinden. Matte flakies en glitters! De tweede is een kadootje voor een vriendinnetje. Seche Restore was eigenlijk ook nog onmisbaar in mijn stash tussen alle dikke lakken. En links op de foto de eerste lak: Orly Iron Butterfly. Matte zwarte lak met shimmer. Whiiii!

So finally I've got my own Essie Matte About You!! I wasn't really into the matte thing before, but because of all the great pics on MUA I changed my mind on mattes. Matte flakies and glitter! The second bottle is a present for a friend of mine. Seche Restore was another item that was missing in my stash, with all the thick polishes I own. And finally, on the left in this picture, the first polish: Orly Iron Butterfly. A matte black polish with shimmer. Whiii!




China Glaze Snowglobe en Atlantis. Ja, ik weet dat Atlantis verkeerd om staat, maar dit is de enige foto die enigszins de glitters in de lakken laat zien! Snowglobe ziet eruit als de clear variant van Carnival Lights, pretty!

China Glaze Snowglobe and Atlantis. Yes, I know you're looking at the back of the bottle of Atlantis, but this was the only picture that showed a little of the sparkliness of the polishes. Snowglobe looks like the clear version of Carnival Lights, which I love.



OPI Brand New Skates, You don't know Jacques Suede, Russian Navy Suede. Oooh deze had ik allemaal al langer op het oog en nu heb ik ze eindelijk! Ik weet dat ik een beetje laat ben met mijn mattes en suedes, maargoed ik loop wel vaker achter op de trends ;)

OPI Brand New Skates, You don't know Jacques Suede, Russian Navy Suede. I've been lemming all three for quite some time and now I finally have them! I know I'm a little late with my mattes and suedes, but I have to say it's not the first time I'm behind on a trend ;) I love the suedes! I wanted Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees Suede as well, but unfortunately it was out of stock when I ordered..



Last, but certainly not least: drie van de OPI Alice in Wonderland lakken! Absolutely Alice, Mad as a Hatter en Thanks so Muchness!. Deze foto doet de lakken geen eer aan, MaaH en AA zijn véél glitteriger dan de foto doet overkomen, maar dat kon mijn camera niet aan. Off with her Red heb ik overgeslagen, omdat ze me niet aansprak in swatches die ik op internet van haar gezien heb.

Last, but certainly not least: three of the OPI Alice in Wonderland polishes! Absolutely Alice, Mad as a Hatter and Thanks so Muchness! This picture doesn't do the colors and glitters justice, but my camera couldn't handle all the glittery goodness. I didn't get Off with her Red, just because I didn't like her from swatches I saw on the interwebz.

Or else this will happen.. I was bored, so I played a little with polish. Should have left it. The idea was good, but on the nails.. It's not horrible, but it's not what I imagined it to be. *sigh*.



I used OPI Vould U Like a Lick-tenstein? as a base (which I posted earlier today), OPI Russian Navy Suede on the tips and China Glaze Millenium for the silver stripes.
