Jack O'Lantern Nail Ideas

Hi all,

A little over the top manicure today! I wanted to do some Jack O'Lantern designs on my nails, and decided to a different one for every nail. It looks way overdone like this, so I would recommend doing the Jack O'Lantern as an accent on one or maybe two nails :)

jack o lantern halloween pumpkin nails orange nail polish nailswatchesI used China Glaze Breakin' as a base, and Wet n Wild Black Creme for the faces and the candle on my pinkie. I did the flame with an ittybitty of Breakin'. My hand wasn't as steady as I wanted it to be while I drew on the faces, but you get the idea, right? :P

I'm still thinking about what to do with my nails for Halloween.. We don't have Halloween here in The Netherlands, but I like the theme so I want to do something with it :)

Barielle Suntini

Hi all,

Today I have another one of the Barielles I got for you :) This time it's a bright and bold jelly: Suntini.

barielle suntini coral orange jelly nail polish nailswatchesBarielle Suntini, two coats in daylight. Suntini is an orange coral polish with a jelly finish. It's fairly opaque; I only needed two coats for opacity, although I have a tiny bit of vnl in some angles.

Application was good; the polish was thinner than the other Barielles that I tried before this one (Sweet Addiction and Berry Blue) so that is good!

They recently changed the bottles and they downsized a bit; a new bottle contains .45 fl. oz./13.3 ml while the old bottle holds .50 fl oz/14 ml.

Barielles are available via www.barielle.com and cost $ 8 per bottle.

The product in this post was sent to me by the manufacturer or their PR company for consideration. For more information, please read my disclaimer.

Misa Um You're Too Delicious

Hi all!

Since it's the World Cup and all, I'm trying out my orange polishes to see if there is one suitable for a manicure when The Nederlands will be playing. This time: Misa Um You're Too Delicious, which was part of my swap with Linda :)

Um You're Too Delicious orange neonUm You're Too Delicious Orange neonMisa Um You're Too Delicious, three coats in daylight. Um You're Too Delicious is a jellylike orange neon. I didn't even know it was possible, but it certainly looks that way! Normally neons dry matte or satin, but this one dries absolutely shiny with a jellylike finish. I like it! Please believe me when I say that this polish is WAY brighter irl.

Application was fine, but drying time was not. It took forever to dry and when I tried to stamp it, over an hour later, it still wasn't dry and I ended up taking it off because the stamping ruined my mani. Also, I suspect that this is the only Misa I own that is not B3F and that this causes the polish to smell really bad (I will check the ingredients later today to be sure). I will try her once more this week or next week, to see if it works better :)

So now I wonder: what's your favorite orange polish?

Go Holland! A World Cup Inspired Manicure

Hi all!

In a little over an hour, The Netherlands will play their first World Cup match! They're playing against Denmark and to support them a little, I decided to do a World Cup Inspired manicure.

China Glaze Breakin'Hup Holland Hup! Lol! I used China Glaze Breakin' for the orange on my nails. Breakin' is opaque in three coats and has a subtle shimmer. For the Dutch Flag I used Essence Hot Red, BarryM Matt White and OPI Dating a Royal. The latter is darker irl.

And because I like this.. A couple more pics!

The last two pictures were taken with my "Grote Beesie", one of the World Cup mascottes that Albert Heijn (a supermarket) is giving away when you buy a certain amount of groceries. I really like mine!

A Recent NOTD

Hi all!

A quickie today! I just have a recent NOTD to share with you..

W.I.C by Herome Lisbon, three coats in daylight. This polish was a gift from Karin and Michèle at our playdate.. Thanks dears! ♥ Lisbon is a medium purple with hints of pink shimmer. I think it's a gorgeous shade. I don't own any polish like this, so it's unique in my stash!

Application was a bit tricky since the polish was a bit thick, but nothing unmanagable - and nothing that thinner can't fix. Drying time was good and the wear of this one was great. I wore this for five days before taking it off, with only minor tipwear and one teenie chip.

That's all for today, I wish you all a wonderful and sunny weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!

PS: The bottle I'm holding is Misa Ummm You're Too Delicious ;)

Essence Cute As Hell Collection

Hi all!

How was your weekend? I have a post for you with pictures that have been sitting on my computer for almost two weeks now. I got the Essence Cute as Hell Collection from a very sweet blogger, who offered to send them to me when I was nagging about it on Twitter. Thanks so much J! <3 On to the pics, four different shades so a lot to cover here.

Naughty But Nice, three coats. As you can see, I had issues with bubbling with this one. In the second picture, I'm wearing one coat of Nubar Diamont to fix the bubbles. Naughty But Nice is a soft pastel yellow. I'm not really into yellows, but I like this one.

Not Just Cute, three coats. Again, I had issues with bubbling so I'm wearing one coat of Nubar Diamont in the second coat to get rid of the bubbles. Not Just Cute is a light pink creme. Nothing unique, but it's a cute color.

Bad Girl, three coats. I had major bubbles with this one. Bad Girl is a soft muted orange creme. Pretty, and I don't think I've seen anything that looks alike.. Although I don't own much orange polishes.

Date Me!, two coats. This is my favorite of the bunch. Can you guess why? Date Me! is a soft, dusty lilac or light purple. I really love this shade. I'm sure it's dupeable, but I haven't found any dupes in my stash. If anyone knows, tell me! I'm sure I will be wearing this more often. Application on this one was a lot better, I didn't even have bubbles. This was also the only twocoater in this collection.

Overall, I like the colors of this collection. They really are 'Cute as Hell'. I didn't like the application. On three of the four polishes I had bubbling issues, so I had to apply Diamont to smooth it out. Drying time was ok. The application of these was a lot less than the application of the Moonlight Collection polishes, which were released in fall 2009.

The colors are not entirely unique. I noticed one of them looked a lot like one of my other polishes; OPI Got a Date To-Knight!, so I did a little comparison.

Could you tell which one is which? I certainly can't and since I forgot to write it down, I don't even know which polish is on which finger. These are dupes of eachother. I'd go with the OPI polish though, since I haven't had bubble issues with Got a Date To-Knight!.

Essence Cute as Hell is available at DM in Germany. Unfortunately, Essence didn't release this collection in The Netherlands. Boo!! *insert evil eye here*.

What do you think of Essence Cute As Hell? Do you know of a dupe of Date Me!?

OPI Hot n Spicy

Hi all!

Hoe was jullie vrijdag? Is iedereen blij dat het weekend is, of zijn er drukke dagen voor de boeg? :) Ik heb vandaag een lak van de OPI Hong Kong Collectie: Hot n Spicy.

How was your Friday? Is everyone happy that it's weekend or are you all having the wildest plans? Today I have a polish from the OPI Hong Kong collection for you: Hot n Spicy.

Hot n Spicy, drie laagjes in daglicht.

Hot n Spicy, three coats in daylight. Hot n spicy is an orange polish with peachy or pink undertones. Application with this one was horrible. The polish was watery and was constantly flooding my cuticles. The coats were streaky and after three coats, I still have visible nail line (=not good!). My gosh, what a horrible polish! I'm not used to this kind of polish from OPI. The color isn't really my thing (I loved it from swatches!) but it's a pretty spring/summer color. Drying time was fine, but the time I had left after drying was needed to do cleanup.

Hot n Spicy stamped with Zoya Veruschka and imageplate M78. Matte polish like Veruschka is a bit tricky to use for stamping since it dries so quickly, but it does give a nice effect when stamped on a shiny polish. It's not my favorite combination, but I think it's quite nice though :)

I hope you all have a great weekend!
