Recent NOTD: China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic

Hi all,

How are you doing on this fine but cold Wednesday? It seems like everything is evening out a bit here, I finally took care of my entire room so it looks more like I want it to be :)

I wore Rodeo Fanatic earlier but I thought I'd show it again :) This one never gets boring. The color and the finish are gorgeous and it's one of my favorite China Glaze polishes.

Edit: The network connector thing on my laptop appears to have died, which means that I can't access the internet on my laptop. I hope I (or rather: my dad) can fix it, but it looks like it may take a while and I'm not in the luxury position that I'm able to use another computer every day. I still have my phone, so I can check my email and such, but I think I won't be online as much as I usually am.

Recent Sparkle-y NOTD

Hi all,

A quick NOTD post today. I wore this almost two weeks ago, I think? I loved the look, even though most of my nails were green and I had blue accent nails, but anyhow, it was all sparkle-y hehe.

I thought it looked pretty nice! I have to admit that I hadn't worn Absolutely Alice till then, so it was about time *hangs head in shame*

I will do a seperate post on Absolutely Alice in the future :)

CND The Look: Urban Oasis & Teal Sparkle

Hi all!

I'm feeling better, seems like I have a cold or something so I should be alright in a couple of days :) Today I have the present that I gave myself for you: The Fall/Winter set Night Factory with Urban Oasis and Teal Sparkle.

cnd creative nail design night factory the look fall winter 2010 urban oasis teal sparkle colour effect nail polish nailswatchesCND Urban Oasis, one coat in daylight. Yes ladies and gentlemen, this is a onecoater! Urban Oasis is a gorgeous teal creme that is awesome in opacity, since it only needs one coat to be fully opaque.

The polish itself is a little on the thick side, only just a little, so the polish is easy to work with and applies smoothly.

But then.. There's an effect in the set as well. It's meant to layer over the colour, so here we go.

I have one little note though. I own Jade Sparkle as well, which has a rubber cap, but the two polishes in the set both have plastic caps. I love the rubber caps because they make polishing the nails easier so I hope it's only the set that has plastic caps. I'm a big fan of rubber caps so I hope they keep those!

Overall: I really love this set and have to compliment myself on the awesome gift (hehe). I can see Urban Oasis becoming one of my go-to colors because it's opaque and dries quickly. I already used the Effect on another polish and it looks just as pretty as over Urban Oasis :)

Barielle A Bouquet For Ava

Hi all,

Today I have another Barielle for you. I think they have some really nice colors and this one fits in that category perfectly.

barielle a bouquet for ava green blue teal creme nail polish nailswatchesBarielle A Bouquet For Ava, two coats in daylight. Please imagine this more green - the green in the polish was a bit camerashy. A Bouquet For Ava is a gorgeous teal creme that leans mostly to the blue side, but the green is definately visible.

Application on this one was good. The other Barielles that I tried were a bit thick, but this one had a nice formula and dried pretty quickly.

What do you think of A Bouquet For Ava? If you have some Barielle(s) yourself, which one is your fave?

The product in this post was sent to me by the manufacturer or their PR company for consideration. For more information, please read my disclaimer.

China Glaze DV8

Hi all!

Whew it's getting hot in The Netherlands! Hot and sunny means.. Holographic polishes! They look stunning in sunlight and for this occasion I decided to pull out China Glaze DV8, which I bought when I went polish hunting at the China Glaze wholesale.

china glaze omg collection holographic DV8 tealChina Glaze DV8, two coats in the shade. DV8 is a stunning teal holographic polish that is opaque in two smooth coats. The polish can show you ridges since it's kinda 'flat' on the nails (I don't know how to describe this properly) so you might need to use a good ridgefiller before you paint your nails.

What's a holo without sunlight? Right, nothing!

Application was good, since the structure of this polish is just right and dries quickly. DV8 is part of the China Glaze OMG collection that contains 11 other holographic polishes.

Thanks for stopping by!

RBL Teal

Hi all!

How are you all today? Almost weekend! Today I have a polish for you that I've tried on a little while ago; RBL Teal. I couldn't capture her beauty very well, but I'll tell you more about that later.

RBL Teal, two coats in daylight. Teal is as the name suggest; teal (wow, surprise!). The color is a little darker than the picture suggests. This was caused by the reflection of the polish. This polish is so extremely shiny! The reflections of the sky and the room I take pictures in kept showing up on my nails lol. I have like 25 pictures with myself on my nails!

Application on this one was a dream. The polish went on nice and smooth and dried pretty quickly. Since the polish is well pigmented, it may even be suitable for Konad - but I'd have to check that. The following picture shows less reflections:

I think this one is more color accurate than the first picture.

I really like this color. There are a lot of teal polishes out there, but this one is a little dusty so I guess that's why I like it so much :)

What do you think of RBL Teal?

I'm So Excited!!!!!!

Ooooooh I'm hyperventilating!! The mailman gave me a veeeeery pretty package. I could see the address, so I knew this package contains the RBL's I ordered during the sale in December! They're finally here!

Ik moet mijn enthousiasme even laten wegebben hoor! Het was even spannend!

Whew. I need to calm myself down! Jeez, I'm so happy these finally made it! I will show you my long expected polishes by the pictures in this post :)

Look at the size of the box! The RBLs are really tiny!

I like to be Superficial..

Today I'm wearing the second polish of my fresh Ciaté lacquers; Superficial. Superficial is a gorgeous teal, a little more green than blue.

This is two coats without topcoat, indoors, in daylight, but still with flash to show the color.

What can I say? It applied just as good as Sharp Tailoring, which I wore yesterday, is opaque in one coat - but I needed a second coat to even the polish. The color.. Well, I thought it needed three pictures. Not to show you different settings, just to show you how absolutely gorgeous this is. I really really really love this one and I know for sure I will be wearing it a lot.

Thanks for stopping by!

P2 Dangerous

So yesterday I decided to use a polish Kirsten (from een Minder Mutsig nagelblog) sent to me a while ago: P2 dangerous. In my stashlist I labeled it as Petrol, but it could go as a dark Teal polish. Sorry for the nubbins, but winter just hasn't been nice for my nails this year.

This is two coats with topcoat David. The polish itself is opaque in one coat, but because the structure is thick, I needed a second coat to even things out. Next time I use it I will use a little bit of Seche Restore so it applies more smoothly. The polish itself is shiny enough to go without a topcoat, but I did one anyway. So, on to the color. I really like this color! It actually looks good on my nubbins. It's a bit dusty and to be honest, I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. The P2 polishes aren't disappointing me till now! They're only € 1,55 a bottle, so I'd like to have some more.. ;)
