Are You Ready For Spring?

Hi all!

We were having a theme on a Dutch board and the theme was "Spring nails". I thought it would be fun to post my mani's here as well :). I posted the cloud mani and the ladybird mani (that I did earlier) on there as well. Here are some pics to bring you in the spring mood!

I used Essence Date Me! from the Cute as Hell collection as a base color. For stamping I used imageplate M78 and China Glaze Cherish, Adore and QT.

This was my favorite out of the bunch! There's a whole list of all that I used for this one: I used OPI Suzi Says Feng Sui as a basecolor with China Glaze Entourage as the color for the grass. I used Diamont in between to make sure this was dry when I started stamping. I used Konad Red and Pink for the flowers and some of the butterflies, Konad Black Pearl for the rabbit and Konad White for the clouds. I used China Glaze QT and Harmony for the butterflies and one of the flowers. The birds in the sky on my pinky were done with China Glaze Ink. I used imageplates M30 (rabbit), M36 (butterflies), M57 (flowers) and M79 (clouds) to stamp with. I really like how this one turned out. It looks so cute!

Are you looking forward to spring as much as I do? No more snow! We want sunshine..

Thanks for stopping by!

Models Own Betty Blue

Hi all!

Today I have another Models Own polish for you. This time it's a gorgeous royal blue; Betty Blue.

Be prepared for a lot of pics!

Models Own Betty Blue, twee laagjes in dag- en zonlicht.

Models Own Betty Blue, two coats in daylight and sunlight. Betty Blue is a gorgeous royal blue jelly. This is two coats and she's completely opaque with those two coats. I'm impressed! Application was a bit tricky for me, since the polish was a bit watery, but nothing I couldn't fix without a little cleanup. Drying time was good, no problems at all.

Betty Blue met Color Club Worth The Risque.

Betty Blue with Color Club Worth The Risque. I used imageplate M78 for stamping. The Color Club holo's are very suitable to use for Konad as you may have noticed! The Konad isn't the best Konad I did, the image was kinda tricky to get on right. I do like the combination though! Will try this combo again in the near future. I will take a pic when I did a better job on the Konad.

And a closer look of the image on the nail:

I think it's hot!

Well, this is it for today! How do you like Betty Blue?

OPI Hot n Spicy

Hi all!

Hoe was jullie vrijdag?

How was your Friday? Is everyone happy that it's weekend or are you all having the wildest plans? Today I have a polish from the OPI Hong Kong collection for you: Hot n Spicy.

Hot n Spicy, drie laagjes in daglicht.

Hot n Spicy, three coats in daylight. Hot n spicy is an orange polish with peachy or pink undertones. Application with this one was horrible. The polish was watery and was constantly flooding my cuticles. The coats were streaky and after three coats, I still have visible nail line (=not good!). My gosh, what a horrible polish! I'm not used to this kind of polish from OPI. The color isn't really my thing (I loved it from swatches!) but it's a pretty spring/summer color. Drying time was fine, but the time I had left after drying was needed to do cleanup.

Hot n Spicy stamped with Zoya Veruschka and imageplate M78. Matte polish like Veruschka is a bit tricky to use for stamping since it dries so quickly, but it does give a nice effect when stamped on a shiny polish. It's not my favorite combination, but I think it's quite nice though :)

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!

Zoya Veruschka

Hi all!

All went well with the move, thank you all for your kind and sweet messages :) Today I can start polishing my nails again and take pictures. Today I have a new polish for you; Zoya Veruschka Matte Velvet Lacquer.

Zoya Veruschka, twee laagjes in daglicht.

Zoya Veruschka, two coats in daylight. Veruschka is a deep greep matte polish with lots and lots of shimmer. She is so incredibly beautiful. I didn't like matte polishes till recently and I'm glad I like them now! I would have missed out on all those matte/suede pretties.. Application was good, drying time was excellent. These matte polishes dry very quickly and are good go-to polishes when you are in a hurry. I didn't have any application problems with her.

Zoya Veruschka with one coat of Nubar Diamont, again in daylight. WOW!! Look at all that shimmer! The topcoat really shows how much shimmer is in the polish. If you love green, but don't like mattes, you know what to do.. ;)

And to play a little more with polish: Veruschka with China Glaze Millennium. I used plate M78 (one of the new plates) for stamping. I like the design, but Millennium is just too much with such a busy print on the nails. I may have gone a little overboard on this one.. lol. I do like the color combination though! It reminds me of Slytherin.. *must do the Harry Potter nails this week*

Well that's it for now! What do you think of Veruschka? Do you like her better with or without topcoat?

Thanks for stopping by!

OPI Thanks So Muchness! vs. China Glaze Thunderbird

Vandaag heb ik Thanks so Muchness!

Today I compared Thanks so Muchness! (I posted about her yesterday) to China Glaze Thunderbird. In the bottle they are clearly different: Thunderbird is a few tints darken than Thanks so Muchness!. On my nails, the difference was less visible.

Index and ring are OPI Thanks so Muchness!, middle and pinkie are China Glaze Thunderbird

This is two coats with SV in daylight. Because I wore Thanks so Muchness for three days with SV, I thought adding a topcoat to Thunderbird would make the comparison work better. As you can see, there is a difference between both polishes.

(Still haven't found a solution to the flipping images over problem)

Thunderbird is a deeper red with more of a vampy look to her, while Thanks so Muchness! is a brighter red. These are not dupes.

And because I was about to take the reds off my nails, I played with one of my new plates, M79. I used China Glaze Millenium for Stamping.

I love this plate! It's the one with the polkadots and the clouds :) I also got M78 (with the butterflies and the fullnail images with hearts and tigerprint) and S10 (with the cute kitty, bunny, cow, chick and bear). I think I will be enjoying myself this afternoon ;)
