Misa Burnished Bronze

Hi all,

I'm a bit behind on my nail pictures so here's one that I did a couple of weeks ago. I've had this polish since almost forever but I hadn't got round to it yet. I'm shopping my stash lately and I found this one, so I decided to put it on.


Misa Burnished Bronze, three coats in daylight. Burnished Bronze is as it says, a burnished bronze. It's not as orange as my picture makes it appear to be.

The first coat went on very sheer. It was red and looked like a pretty duochrome, but the duochrome effect went away after applying the second and third coat. The coats were a bit brush strokey, but other than that, the polish was easy to apply.

It's a bit of an odd color in some way, but I like it. I'm glad I was reminded that I have this :)

Wet n Wild Rustic

Hi all,

A real quickie today - I'm about to crash into bed (it's 0.45 when I'm typing this) after celebrating my sisters birthday. I ate some delicious chocolate pie and way too many yummy other things, but I enjoyed myself (and my sister did too). This is one of the polishes that Rachel picked up for me for our awesome megaswap!


Wet n Wild Rustic, three coats in daylight. Rustic is what the name suggests: a true rust color! It's filled with bronze shimmer, making it pretty to look at. The color in my pic is a little too light - imagine it a tad more brown (and thus a tad darker).


Application was a bit tricky for me because of the really short brush handle - it's so short and tiny! The formula on the polish was actually pretty good, so I have no complaints about the polish itself.

Sally Hansen Leather Creme

Hi all!

How are you all doing today? I'm a bit exhausted because I haven't slept much last night (my parents came home from their holiday at 04.30 AM while I went to bed at 2 AM, not the best combination) and I went on a shopping spree with Michèle from Lacquerized which was FUN!, but also really exhausting lol. Anyway, today I have a polish for you that I got off the blogsale of Polish Insomniac (thanks hun for all the pretties!). Let's take a look!

Sally Hansen Leather Creme, three coats in daylight. Leather Creme is a pretty brown creme and this just says it all. I'm really digging browns lately and this one is no exeption.

Application was alright. I can't handle the brush very well since it's long and thin. The polish itself is a bit on the watery side, making it slightly hard to work with, but nothing unmanagable. Drying time was good.

Nubar Iris Dust

How are you all doing? Surviving the week so far? I'm so damn tired since we have summertime (last sunday). My whole biological clock is screwed up! So I'll make it a relatively short post again, sorry about that. I have Nubar Iris Dust for you today. I have had her for quite a while now and I've worn her before, but I had serious shrinkage with Seche Vite before I could take pics. So here she is!

Nubar Iris Dust, four coats in daylight. Iris Dust is a quite sheer, but very pretty duochrome that flashes between dark, faded pink and bronze. I'd say you can best layer this over another color, since I still have VNL with those four coats. I think I would have liked her even more if the bronze was darker, but that's just me :)

The polish structure is quite thin, making it sheer. Drying time is quite long, but this is caused by the many layers I put on my nails before taking these pics. I didn't have issues with application whatsoever though.

What do you think of Iris Dust? Do you like duochromes as much as I do? It's just fascinating to see the colors change on my nails. What's your favorite duochrome?

Unexpected Haul!

In december heb ik (na het kwijlen bij de diverse swatches die ik van deze lakken langs zag komen) een bestelling geplaatst. Ik was zo druk met allerlei andere dingen, dat ik helemaal vergeten was dat dit er nog aan zat te komen. Totdat de postbode voor de deur stond met een doosje nagellakken! Dat is een leuke verassing!

In December I ordered these polishes, since I was drooling all over the swatches of these that I saw online. I was so busy with other things that I almost forgot I ordered these, until the mailman was banging on my door with a package with polishes! Well, that ís a nice surprise!

In totaal had ik 12 lakken besteld en ik ben zeker niet ontevreden! Hierna volgen foto's per drie lakjes. Alle foto's zijn klikbaar voor een uitvergroting.

I ordered a total of 12 polishes, and I'm certainly not unhappy with my choices! Here are the polishes! All pictures are clickable.

OPI Kangarooby, Color Club Electronica, Misa Toxic Seduction

OPI Kangarooby is een dieprode cremelak. Deze lak is discontinued en dus wilde ik niet langer wachten met het bestellen ervan. Color Club Electronica is een donkerpaarse lak met roze en blauwe shimmer erin. Erg mooi! De kleur op de foto is niet accuraat (zoals met veel paarse lakken). Last but not least in dit rijtje is Misa Toxic Seduction. Dit is echt mooi! Een mossig groene lak met fijne shimmer. Ik kan niet wachten tot ik deze kan uitproberen!

OPI Kangarooby is a deep red creme. This polish is discontinued so I didn't want to wait any longer to order it, cause I was a little scared it would be sold out. Color Club Electronica is a dark purple with pink and blue shimmer in it. Very pretty! The color in the picture is not accurate (as it is with a lot of purple polishes). Last but not least in this picture is Misa Toxic Seduction. This one is VERY pretty! A mossy kind of green with fine shimmer. I can't wait to try this on my nails!

Emerald Depths, Tru Passion, Slow Jam

Emerald Depths is een blauwe, aquakleurige frosty lak. De kleur is erg intens, ben erg benieuwd hoe dit er op mijn nagels uitziet. True Passion is een paarse glitterlak. Paarse glitter! Yay! Ik ben gek op glitter, dus vond dat er wel eentje bij kon. Slow Jam is een bruine shimmer. Bruin zegt het niet helemaal, maar ik weet niet hoe ik de kleur beter kan beschrijven. In het flesje heeft de lak haast een rode ondertoon.

Emerald Depths is a blue, aquacolored frost. The color is very intense, I'm curious to see how this looks on my nails. Tru Passion is a purple glitter. Purple Glitter!! Yay!! Everyone who knows me, knows I'm a sucker for purples and glitters, especially when these two are combined. I love glitter, so I made this one fit in my order. Slow Jam is a brown shimmer. 'Brown' doesn't exactly describe it, but I don't know how I can explain the color. In the bottle it almost has a reddish undertone.

Wild and Willing, What a Drag, Wild at Heart

Wild and Willing is een bronzeachtige lak met een prachtige shimmer, waardoor het in het flesje al lijkt alsof de lak gloeit. What a Drag is een zilverkleurige lak die eruit ziet als aluminiumfolie. Beetje futuristisch wel! Als afsluiter van dit rijtje Wild at Heart, een intense paarse holo. Deze lak deed me echt bijna kwijlen toen ik hier swatches van zag. Dit is dan ook de favoriet tot nu toe!

Wild and Willing is a bronzy polish with a beatiful shimmer, which makes it look like it glows in the bottle. What a Drag is a silvery foil, which looks kind of futuristic to me! Last in this picture there's Wild at Heart. This one almost made me drool when I saw swatches because it's just so incredibly gorgeous. Purple holo! This is my favorite in this order.

Worth the Risque, Revvvolution, Fashion Addict

Deze lakken zijn alledrie holo en alledrie geweldig. Worth the Risque is een zilveren holo, niets meer en niets minder, maar wel een intense zilver. Revvvolution wordt ook wel een dupe van OPI My Private Jet genoemd, maar dan meer holo. Dit is zo gaaf. Tot slot Fashion Addict, een lichtroze/paarse holo. Ook deze is weer geweldig in het flesje, laat staan wanneer ze op de nagels zit en er licht op valt.

These polishes are all holo's and they're all great. Worth the Risque is a silvery holo, nothing more, nothing less, but it is a very intense silver. Revvvolution is named as a dupe for OPI My Private Jet, but with more holo effect in it. This is so cool! Last, but not least in the lineup of this "unexpected" haul is Fashion Addict, which is a light purple/pink holo. This one is already awesome in the bottle, let alone on the nails when light hits it.

These are my first Color Club polishes and I'm so excited!!
