Orly Iron Butterfly

Before I show you the last swatches of my Ciaté polishes, I wanted to share the polish that was on my nails untill I started swatching. The sun is shining and I took advantage of that by taking lots of pictures.

Orly Iron Butterfly is a black polish with lots and lots of silver shimmery parts that dries matte. This is two coats. Application is a bit tricky, just as it is with the suedes. The polish dries very fast so this might be one of my go-to mani's when I'm in a hurry. But oooooh look at the shinyness! And it's not even a glossy polish! I really like this. Just to complete this post, I put topcoat "David" over Iron Butterfly to see what it looks like when it is indeed a glossy polish.

I adjusted the colors in the last picture just a little bit to show the depth and sparklyness of it better. She is black and not grey, however she may appear to be a very dark grey.

With topcoat she's even prettier! David adds depth and sparkles to Iron Butterfly and I think it makes her look gorgeous. I didn't want to take it off at all..

I will be honest with you and tell you that this is the first time I've worn a black polish (ok, she's not completely black) because I was scared to wear black. I thought it would make my skin look very white, but she doesn't make me look white at all! I love Iron Butterfly. The bottle is exactly like all the other Orly's I've got; very good to handle with the rubber on the handle. The brush is perfect for me; thank God they didn't but a prowide brush in with the Orly's :)

Well, that's it for now. I hope to see you again, when I will post my last (but certainly not least!) swatches of the Ciaté polishes I got in last week.

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Michèle; Dankje! Ik was er altijd bang voor om ontzettend bleek te lijken, maar nu heb ik het idee dat ik dat juist lijk met erg lichte lakken :P

Brooke; Thanks! She's indeed gorgeous! One of my new favorites
