Or else this will happen.. I was bored, so I played a little with polish. Should have left it. The idea was good, but on the nails.. It's not horrible, but it's not what I imagined it to be. *sigh*.



I used OPI Vould U Like a Lick-tenstein? as a base (which I posted earlier today), OPI Russian Navy Suede on the tips and China Glaze Millenium for the silver stripes.

OPI Vould U Like a Lick-tenstein?

Vandaag draag ik één van de lakken die Gerti me gestuurd heeft afgelopen week: OPI's Vould U Like a Lick-tenstein?. De basis van deze lak is licht naar oranje neigende rood, maar kent bronsachtige tinten en een gouden shimmer. De foto's zijn klikbaar!

Today I'm wearing one of the polishes Gerti sent to me last week: OPI's Vould U Like a Lick-tenstein?. The base of this polish is an orangy red, but it also has some bronze-ish hints to it and holds a very pretty golden shimmer. The pics are clickable!

Onder bepaald licht is het net alsof de lak een jelly is, maar dat is het niet. Dit is overigens twee laagjes, zonder topcoat. Dit is een oude OPI formule dacht ik. De lak stinkt onwijs, maar het flesje heeft nog een dun kwastje en de lak droogt sneller dan mijn andere OPI's. De lak toont wel heel licht de lijntjes die de kwast achterlaat, maar dat is bijna niet zichtbaar.

In some lights it looks like this is a jelly, but it's not. This is two coats btw, no topcoat. I believe this is an old OPI formula. The polish itselfs smells really bad, almost as bad as my SV, but the bottle holds a thin brush (yay!) and VULAL dries quicker than my other OPI's. The polish is just a teenie bit brush strokey, but that's not really noticable.



Op deze foto kun je zien wat ik bedoel met jelly. De foto toont ook heel licht de gouden shimmer die de lak zo mooi maakt.

This picture shows what I mean with jelly. The picture also shows the golden shimmer in it, which makes the polish so pretty.

Comparison: Nfu Oh 068 versus P2 Gorgeous!

Na het lezen van Michèle's blog LACQUERIZED., dat P2 Gorgeous! een dupe is van Nfu Oh 068, wilde ik deze twee vergelijken. In het flesje zien ze er wel soortgelijk uit, maar de kleur is echt anders. Gorgeous! is meer grijs, terwijl 068 echt paars is in het flesje.

After reading Michèle's blog LACQUERIZED. about P2 Gorgeous! being a dupe to Nfu Oh 068, I decided to compare the two. In the bottle they seem similar, but not dupey. Gorgeous! is more grey while 068 is already really purple in the bottle.

Beide lakken zijn stoffig paars, of paars met een grijze ondertoon en hebben een finish van shimmer met foil. Het is meer foil dan shimmer zou ik zeggen. Dit is twee laagjes, zonder topcoat.

Both colors are dusty purple, or purple with a grey undertone and have a shimmery foily finish. I'd say it's more foil than shimmer. This is two coats, no topcoat.

Als ik je niet zou vertellen welke lak op welke nagel zit, zou je het verschil niet eens zien! De lakken zijn identiek en dus dupes van elkaar. P2 Gorgeous is te koop bij bepaalde Slecker winkels en bij DM in Duitsland voor € 1,55 voor 8 ml. Nfu Oh 068 is te koop bij onder andere Fabuloustreet, Viis en Affiniti voor een prijs tussen de € 6,40 en € 9 voor 17 ml.

If I didn't tell you which polish was on what nail, you couldn't even tell the difference. I can't see any differences between these polishes and could wear it like this. The colors are identical and so they're dupes of eachother. P2 Gorgeous is available at some Dutch Slecker stores and at DM in Germany for € 1,55 a bottle of 8 ml. Nfu Oh 068 is available at Fabuloustreet, Viis and Affiniti for € 6,40 - € 9 for a bottle of 17 ml.

Color Club Wild at Heart at Sunset

Na de foto's van gechipte stylish lak, nu wat mooiers! Voordat ik het eraf haalde, heb ik een laagje Color Club Wild at Heart eroverheen gelakt. In één woord: wauw! Paarse holo! De holo komt niet helemaal naar voren in de foto's, maar het geeft in ieder geval een indruk! Ik zit de hele tijd naar mijn nagels te staren haha. De lak brengt makkelijk aan en is snel droog. Ik heb niet veel holo's en de meeste die ik heb, zijn untrieds. Daar moet ik toch echt even verandering in brengen..

So after the chipped nailpolish pictures of this afternoon, I have something prettier for you :). Before I took Stylish off, I put one coat of Color Club Wild at Heart over it. One word: Wow! This truly is pretty! Purple holo! The holo doesn't really come forward in the pictures as it does on my nails, but at least it gives an impression. I can't stop staring at my nails.. Application of this polish was good and it dried pretty quickly. I don't have a lot of holo's and most of the holo's I have, are untrieds. I really should change that..

P2 Stylish

First: I apologize for the amount of frazzle and chipping on my nails. I wore this color for 3 days in which I assembled four closets. I'm a bit amazed this is the only damage it has done, but I'd rather show you the color without frazzle and stuff.

So here she is, P2 Stylish, a hard to miss dark pink.



First picture is indoors, second picture is taken in sunlight. This is two coats with a layer of David. Again, I assembled some closets, so damage isn't as worse as it could be. The color is a hard to miss, almost fuchsia pink. It's not neon and contains a little bit of shimmer and is really shiny without topcoat already. The polish is a bit brush strokey though, and application was a bit trickey. Structure of the polish was a bit thick, but since I ordered a bottle of Seche Restore, application shouldn't be a problem next time.

I hope I can swatch some polishes tomorrow and the days after that. I don't feel too well, so I hope I feel good enough to polish :)

Random Act of Kindness, how sweet!

Je ziet het goed, dit zijn Hoodoo Voodoo?! en Vould U like a Lick-tenstein?. Hoodoo Voodoo?! Komt oorspronkelijk uit de OPI Winter Resort Collection van 1995 en is een donkerroze, bijna berrykleurige lak. De lak wordt niet meer gemaakt, dus binnenkort zal deze niet meer te koop zijn. Vould U like a Lick-tenstein? komt oorspronkelijk uit de European Collectie van 2002 en is een rode lak met gouden shimmer. De kleur is moeilijk te beschrijven, het is namelijk geen standaard rood. Anyway, ik ben ontzettend blij dat ik deze lakken nu heb! Ik heb ze gekregen van Gerti, die voor deze lakken niks wilde hebben! Gerti, nogmaals onwijs bedankt! Ik ben er heel erg blij mee.

Hoodoo Voodoo?! was originally released in the OPI Winter Resort Collection of 1995 and is a dark pink, almost berry toned polish. The polish is discontinued, so if you like it I'd buy it now before it's out of stock everywhere. Vould U like a Lick-tenstein? was originally released in the European Collection of 2002 and is red with golden shimmer. The color is quite hard to describe, since it's not your standard red. Anyway, I'm really happy I have these polishes right now! I got them from Gerti, who didn't want anything back for these. Thanks again Gerti! You really made me happy :) .
