Essie Can't Filmfest

Vandaag draag ik een kleur die het meest vertegenwoordigd wordt in mijn stash; roze!

Today I am wearing a color that is the best represented color in my stash; pink!


Essie Can't Filmfest is een fuchsiaroze lak met verborgen shimmer - ik had de shimmer nog niet gezien, totdat de zon zich 3 seconden liet zien er de shimmer tevoorschijn kwam. Leuk! Dit is drie laagjes. De kleur in deze foto is niet de kleur op mijn nagels; de lak is véél meer aanwezig, maar ze is geen neon! In de hierna volgende foto's heb ik geprobeerd met verschillend licht en bewerking de kleur beter weer te geven.

Essie Can't Filmfest is a bright pink, fuchsia polish with hidden shimmer. I thought she was a creme, till the sun came out for three seconds and I saw I subtle shimmer. Nice! This is three coats. The color in this picture is not accurate; Can't Filmfest is freaking out my camera with her brightness. In the following pictures I've tried to capture the color in different lightings.




Bedenk je de kleur van de eerste foto in met de kleurintensiteit van de tweede foto en je hebt Can't Filmfest! Mijn camera wilde haar kleur niet goed vastleggen, maar hopelijk krijg je zo een idee hoe ze er echt uitziet.

Imagine the color in the first picture with the brightness of the second picture and you have Can't Filmfest! My camera just didn't want to capture the true color, no matter what I tried. I hope I gave you an idea of what she looks like though :)

I used Konad Black Pearl Special Polish and imageplate M21 for stamping.

Essie Midnight Cami

Ik moet iets opbiechten: tot voor kort had ik geen enkele Essie lak! Ja, ik heb Matte About You, maar dat telt niet als lak, dat is een topcoat. De lak die ik vandaag draag is dan ook de allereerste lak van Essie die ik draag!

I have a confession to make: I didn't have any Essie polishes, untill a few days ago. Yes, I have Matte About You, but that's a topcoat and no polish. The polish I'm wearing today is the first Essie polish I've ever worn!


Midnight Cami is een donkerblauwe, bijna zwarte lak met blauwe shimmer. Zoals je kunt zien, oogt ze hier en daar bijna zwart wanneer er geen licht op valt. Dit is twee laagjes.

Midnight Cami is a very dark blue, almost blackened - but not just yet - with blue shimmer. As you can see, she's almost black in some places when there's no light hitting on the shimmer. This is two coats.


Maar wanneer er licht op haar valt, zie je een mooie blauwe shimmer! De kleur is niet helemaal uniek, maar ik vind haar erg mooi. Applicatie was prima, geen problemen en ook droogtijd was goed.

But when light hits her, you can see her pretty blue shimmer! The color is not really unique, but I think she's pretty. Application was fine, no problems and dryingtime was alright.

I think I'm hooked! My first experience with Essie was a good one. I have a couple more Essies here and I'm searching the Interwebz for one I'm lemming (Greenport). I believe you can expect some more Essie swatches in the near future ;)

Purple Pizzazz from Sally Hansen

Deze lak heb ik gekregen in een swap met Natasja; Purple Pizzazz! Natasja bood aan deze met me te swappen, precies op het moment dat ik het internet aan het afstruinen was om deze te pakken te krijgen.. Is dat niet toevallig? :)

Vooraf: ik waarschuw alvast voor de foto's die ik heb kunnen maken van deze lak. Ze is prachtig, maar onmogelijk om goed op de foto te krijgen. Mijn camera maakte haar blauw of liet haar jellyness niet zien. Ik heb mijn best gedaan!

This is a polish that I got in a swap with Natasja; Purple Pizzazz! She offered to swap it with me just at the time I was searching the internet for a way to get a hold of it, isn't that a coincedence? :)

Please bare with me, because this polish will not let me take proper pictures of her. My camera keeps turning her blue (which she is definitely not!) or does not want to show her jellyness. I tried my best!



Dit is drie laagjes. De eerste foto is genomen onder mijn bureaulamp, de tweede is genomen in daglicht. Naar mijn idee is de eerste foto redelijk kleuraccuraat, bedenk haar iets blauwer dan hier wordt afgebeeld. Purple Pizzazz is een paarse jelly met roze glitter. Ik vind het een erg mooie jelly en denk ook wel dat ik deze regelmatig zal dragen! Applicatie van deze lak was prima, geen rare dingen. Droogtijd was iets langer dan normaal, maar ik weet niet of jelly's meer tijd nodig hebben om te drogen.

This is three coats. First picture is taken under my lamp, second one is taken in daylight. I think the first picture is most color accurate, she just is a little more blue than pictured. Purple Pizzazz is a bluebased purple jelly with pink glitter. This is a really pretty jelly! I think I will be wearing her on a regular basis.. I think she will also look great with some konad over her. Adding even more depth! Application was fine, nothing abnormal. Drying time was a little longer than usual, but I don't really know if jellies take more time to dry *jellyn00b*

Quickest Blogpost Ever

Hi all!

This is the quickest blogpost ever, but since my father is celebrating his birthday, I won't have time to post anything bigger than this post today! I have only one picture, but I will edit this post with more pictures because this polish is also gorgeous and deserves more than one pic to show her beauty. Edit: I've uploaded a couple more pictures :)

I Love Scrangie!

Jullie weten vast nog wel hoe hyper ik was toen ik eindelijk mijn RBL's binnen kreeg. Vanmiddag heb ik Scrangie opgedaan - en ik kan zeggen dat ik zeker niet teleurgesteld ben.

You know how excited I was when I got my RBL's in this week, right? Today I put on Scrangie - and I wasn't the least bit disappointed.





Twee laagjes pure perfectie! Dit is op stip nummer 1! Scrangie is een paarse lak met zeer sterke groene shimmer. Eén woord: wauw.

This is two coats of pure perfection! This is by far my favorite polish. Scrangie is a bluebased purple with green iridescence and green microshimmer. One word: wow.
